Seminary: Pontifical North American College in Rome, Italy

Pontifical North American College (The American Seminary in Rome)

It's not home, but it's much... -- The 'NAC', as she is affectionately called, is home to about 130 seminarians from the United States and now Australia. From atop the Gianicolo hill the NAC overlooks the ancient cities of Rome and the Vatican, providing seminarians with the opportunity to study amid the main arteries of the Roman Catholic world.

Including all the basic living facilities, the complex also contains three chapels, a full-size library, a grass soccer/baseball/football field, tennis and basketball courts, student lounge and tv room, mini-store for all the essentials, money-exchange, weight-room, art room, music room, woodshop, and performance auditorium.

The NAC is often referred to as the fortress on the hill , an American oasis apart from the Italian mainstream.
