Welcome to the all new AaronKuhn.com!

I've changed things up a bit by simplifying a few of the pages, editing a lot of the content, and updating a slug of new photos. And of course, the color scheme is different, too. Enjoy!

My ordination to the diaconate, June 20th 2006, was spectacular, a deep and spiritual event for myself and many others. The summer passed quickly with an immersion parish experience with the wonderful people of Perham, MN. Father Joe Herzing took me under his wing for a little over two months, allowing me to preach at Mass nearly every day! The summer also included visits with family and friends, travel to the Twin Cities and Atlanta, Georgia for Steubenville Conferences, opportunities to fish and golf with parishioners of Perham, and our annual diocesan Vocations Camp.

As I returned to Rome for my final year of study, my brother Matthew had gone ahead to begin his first year of major seminary at the North American College. It is great to have him here, to spend time talking about the roller coaster seminary lifestyle, and to play some serious games of foosball together. It has been since high school (ten years ago) that we last had a significant amount of time to hang out. Hopefully, this year will not pass too quickly.

Priesthood ordination peers on the horizon. Mark your calendars for JUNE 16TH 2007. Click here for more details about the Ordination and Mass of Thanksgiving to follow the next day.

Already the question is being asked, "Do you know which parish you will be sent to?" I wish I had an answer for you. There are only a handful of locations in the Diocese of St. Cloud that are being considered as possible places for the three of us that will be ordained in June. So, one can speculate on which of us will go where, but it will be up to the Bishop (Most Rev. John F. Kinney) to decide, based off of the guidance of his clergy personnel board. The announcement will likely be made sometime mid-spring.

Pray for me as I enter the last months of my seminary formation. I love being a deacon, but I look forward all the more to becoming a priest. Pray I respond to the Lord's call with a humble and magnanimous heart, to serve as his priest with an eye for the needs of his people.

You are all in my prayers.

-Deacon Aaron
